The Roller-Coaster Love Life of Kim Kardashian
The name Kim Kardashian is synonymous with glamor, glitz, and gorgeousness. Ever since coming into the spotlight with her gleaming presence on the reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she has evoked a sense of curiosity among her fans about her many relationships.
She has been pretty open about the men in her life, and for those unaware, here is a quick run-through of Kim's loves, marriages, and hook-ups through the years since 2000.
Married to Damon Thomas (2000-2004)
Kim eloped with record producer Damon Thomas to Las Vegas and married him in January 2000. She was barely out of her teens, and he was ten years her senior. Yet, love could only take them so far, and the honeymoon lasted only for a couple of years before she divorced him in early 2004.
Understandably, the former couple has different views on their long-lost relationship. The reality star cited Damon's domineering ways as the reason for the split. In 2018, she claimed to have been high when she married him, but her ex-husband quickly refuted that, saying their marriage had meant something to him.
In a Relationship With Ray J (2003-2006)
As her divorce was finalized, Kim started working as a stylist for actress and singer Brandy. She ran into her handsome brother Ray J at work and was soon captivated by him. Their relationship progressed quickly, and they were inseparable for three years before she called it quits in 2006.
Right when everyone was sure the couple had broken up, something to remind the public of their once cozy relationship came up. In 2007, a year after Kim and Ray's breakup, footage of them being intimate during a trip to Cabo in 2004 was leaked via Vivid Entertainment. A decade and a half later, the tape still makes headlines.
A Brief Affair With Nick Cannon (2006-2007)
When the leaked tape dropped all over the net, sending the public into a fevered frenzy, Kim was already dating the celebrity host Nick Cannon. They were both of the same age, and vibing and falling in love with each other happened naturally for both parties. He was smitten with her, but it was not meant to be.
Her relationship with Nick is probably the shortest she has ever had. A year later, she dumped him, and the Wild 'N Out presenter admitted being heartbroken about it. He also confessed to being hurt that she had lied about the leaked tape.
On and Off Relationship With Reggie Bush (2007-2010)
After the heartbreaking split from Nick Cannon, Kim met footballer Reggie Bush through mutual friends and began dating him the same year. Their relationship was far from smooth sailing; it had many ups and downs, leading to the couple breaking up frequently.
It's another matter that they made up as quickly as they broke apart, continuing an on-and-off relationship, heavily peppered with reconciliations for years before finally letting each other go in 2010. Their journey as partners was tracked on the show Keeping Up With the Kardashians for all to see.
Love and Marriage With Kris Humphries (2010-2013)
Kim’s next partner happened to be another sports professional, Kris Humphries. Having met the basketballer in late 2010, she fell in love with him so fast that the couple got engaged within seven months of dating.
Their beautiful wedding in August 2011 was made into a two-part TV special that cost over $10 million. Alas, the marriage ended in 72 days, the shortest of Kim's three marriages.
In Marital Bliss With Kanye West (2014-2021)
We are convinced Kim has a thing for breaking up when the relationship reaches the three-year mark! The only one to survive the initial hiccups happens to be Kanye West. Having met in 2012 while filming Keeping Up With the Kardashians, they were friends first before becoming lovers. Unfortunately, he couldn't make it past the decade.
The couple welcomed their first kid, North West, a year before tying the knot in 2014. They went through highs and lows together, adding three more kids to their family before their beautiful relationship soured and ended in divorce in early 2021.
Less Than a Year With Pete Davidson (October 2021-2022)
A few months after her split from Kanye, Kim found love again while shooting for Saturday Night Live alongside Pete Davidson. Funny and loveable, the ace comedian gave her the emotional cushion she needed after her much-publicized divorce.
Unfortunately, the relationship ended early as things fizzled out between them. They dated for less than a year before their breakup in August 2022.
Now, that we have the recap about her past, here’s hoping this beauty finds her true match next. Meanwhile, she wishes to focus on herself and her kids along with finishing law school. Way to go Kim!
