The Memorable 90s

The 90s was a legendary era on all counts. Reminiscing from the times of hair mascara, watching the Spice Girls, and making use of controversial shell suits, the 90s was full of exciting trends. This is probably why pop culture is returning to its 90s roots.

It was a time when only 2Pac, The Beastie Boys, and Nirvana ruled on the radio. We can go on and on as the nostalgia we feel when we think about these moments is tangible. Even though there were some downsides to the 90s, there are things about the 90s we'd love to relive. Let's look at a couple.

Things Were Easy

Before the time of the Millennials, there was relative ease to loving in the 90s. This was all before stalking, Twitter storms, and tinder dates. On all fronts, it was just good vibes. It was a time of relaxation for everyone, and bliss reigned.

However, it's important to note that it wasn't all sunflowers and butterflies. The L.A riots, Gulf War, and the Rwandan Genocide all took place in the 90s. In addition, politics took a scary turn with corruption, sex scandals, and murder trials.

Real Conversations with Real People

Think about it, when last did you have a decent conversation with another person? Texting online with someone you've never met on Instagram doesn't count. In the 90s, people were more approachable and friendly. It wasn't a big deal to start conversations with strangers on the road.

Now, this isn't to say that things were completely technologically backward back then. There were still forms of chatting remotely via pagers- It wouldn’t be surprising if a couple of Millennials would have to Google what a pager is.

Adventure

No disrespect to the current generation of children, but in the 90s, kids were much more spontaneous. It was a punishment to stay huddled up in the house. Nowadays, kids and teens willingly stay home on social media or play games all day.

There was fun and adventure in the 90s. One actually got to explore the world. Weekends we're about experiencing the outdoors with your friends. Sometimes, you could even head to the river for a good dip.

Entertainment

In this generation, one has a variety of options when it comes to getting entertainment or having fun. It wasn't anything like this back in the 90s. There were no PS5s or high-tech PCs for leisure. Friends and our imaginations were majorly what we had for entertainment. The mere idea of playing hopscotch, doctor, or musical chairs was divine.

In Conclusion

All in all, things have advanced in the past two decades, and the world has become a seemingly larger place. However, the memories of the 90s are things we'd never give up on for anything. We'll relive them as much as we can and speak about them to as many as would listen.
